The mission of IYNAUS and IYASCUS is simple yet profound: to promote the art, science, and philosophy of yoga according to the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar and to foster a vibrant Iyengar yoga community by supporting both Iyengar practitioners and certified Iyengar yoga teachers.

Who are we?

The Iyengar Yoga Association of the South Central United States (IYASCUS) represents the states of Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Texas. Each of the 12 regional Iyengar associations is an independent nonprofit with a mission similar to that of the national association, the Iyengar Yoga National Association of the United States (IYNAUS). Each region appoints one or two members to serve on the IYNAUS board of directors, ensuring all regions have a voice in creating policies and procedures for IYNAUS.

We keep our members informed and engaged with regular updates on developments, events, and opportunities in the Iyengar Yoga community. Our free-to-members online events offer workshops, seminars, and discussions led by experienced instructors from our region and beyond.
